"I’ve been recently working on transcribing some old tapes originally recorded in the late 1960s/early 1970s from the well-known St’át’imc storyteller Sam Mitchell, who came from Fountain. One of the stories he tells is about Paul Spintlum and Moses Paul; though he didn’t know them personally, he was around during their outlaw years and knew and spoke to many of the participants in their story.
When I was researching the background to these stories, I came across your blog entry on Spintlum and Moses Paul, and was quite impressed by the depth and accuracy of your investigation (more accurate than any of the published accounts, in fact).
